KLUPA (THE BENCH)
UG Tuzla Trail successfully implemented the project “Klupa” supported by the Tuzla Community Foundation within the project “Our community is our responsibility” which is implemented in the territory of TK with the support of USAID, within the framework of the #SnagaLokalnog program.

Realized activities: The realization of the project included several activities, such as: mapping and marking of the trail, cleaning it of municipal waste, setting up directional signs at the most important intersections of the trail, creating and installing tourist information boards, purchasing and installing a rest bench on the trail, organizing a fun run race. One of the activities, which was not indicated in the project, is the removal of a large wild dump on the trail itself, for the cleaning of which the assistance of mechanization was needed. This activity was realized in cooperation with PUC Komunalac Tuzla d.o.o..
The idea of the project itself is to refine and arrange the path, in order to make the stay on it closer to all potential users and safer for all interested citizens (runners, hikers, walkers, etc.). At the end of the implemented project, a greater presence of trail users will confirm the expected results.
During the duration of the activity and more frequent presence on the track, after detailed cleaning of the same from municipal waste, we observed repeated careless dumping of small municipal waste on a couple of attractive, easily accessible by cars parts of the track, but to a significant extent less than before. It remains the duty of us lovers of trail running to treat ourselves like a householder and try to keep the track clean in the coming period as well.
The arrangement of the Klupa recreational trail, which included the marking of the trails and the installation of tourist information boards, will in the long term attract the attention of recreationists and other citizens interested in staying in the natural environment, which should ultimately result in an increase in the capacity of the local community for the purpose of preserving the environment and raising awareness of environmental protection. In cooperation with PUC Komunalc Tuzla d.o.o. a wild dump on the site of the trail was also removed, where an info board was installed, as well as a park bench for visitors to the “Klupa” recreational trail.
